Katie is an experienced voice actor, working from her professional studio near London.
Her voice is warm, natural and engaging, with a soft Scottish accent and a clear, confident delivery. Originally from Glasgow, Katie can alter her accent, depending on the brief, giving her plenty of flexibility across corporate, commercial, radio, e-learning, documentary, gaming and animation.
Her vocal range is equally versatile. From children’s characters for gaming and animation, through youthful 20s reads to more mature 50s deliveries, Katie can adapt her voice, pace and style to suit the project.
Before moving into voiceover, Katie spent more than 20 years as a multi award-winning broadcast journalist and producer, working with Sky, ITN and Channel 5. That experience means she knows how to get to the heart of a script, understand what it needs to do and connect naturally with an audience.

Katie records from her professional, broadcast quality recording studio based just outside of London. Katie’s bespoke KUBE Gold vocal booth has an average sound reduction of 60db. This is a heavy-duty multiple layer sound isolation vocal booth enclosure. There is a secondary inner isolation layer on the ceiling, floor, and all walls, creating an isolated space within the existing booth, helping to reduce noise levels even further and making the range suitable for all scenarios. She also uses Pro-Acoustic bass traps, each measuring 915 mm × 445 mm, with optimal acoustic performance for a crystal-clear acoustic with pure sound response base traps for added sound isolation.
Katie records using a RØDE NT1 Signature Series Large-diaphragm Condenser Microphone with shock mount and pop filter; a RØDE AI-1 Studio-grade Single-channel USB Audio Interface; and RØDE NTH-100 Professional Over-ear Headphones.
Having spent more than two decades in broadcasting, Katie understands the importance of excellent, high quality audio for her clients, and will provide you with professional broadcast quality audio files in any desired format.
Katie is able to record remotely or is very happy to offer live directed sessions. Alternatively, she is on hand to travel to a studio and can be in central London in under an hour.
